10'
diameter x 46' tall wetwell
The sump pictured above and to the right was part of a large
expansion at a multinational oil company's plant just north of Fort
Saskatchewan, AB. During the summer and early fall of 2003
this 10' diameter x 46' tall wetwell was constructed to fit between
their brine ponds. This double wall well was built to
withstand the huge ground pressures that occur 46' underground.
With 20 steel reinforcing ribs and a weight of over 15,000
lbs, this well was delivered on time and fit exactly within the
strict specifications of the consulting engineers.
